Everyone remembers the car they learnt to drive in

For many people, the car they learn to drive in is very important.  We currently use a 2022 Ford Puma, which is one of the best cars in its class. It features the brilliant EcoBoost engine, providing excellent power and fuel economy, combined with a small hybrid motor that provides assistance to the main engine.

The car is fitted with He-Man dual controls, which allow the instructor to take control of the car should the need arise.  This provides a reassuring safety net for the pupil, allowing them to progress with confidence.

We have also fitted state-of-the-art Viofo cameras in the car, that are continuously recording when the car is being driven.  They provide a driver's eye view of everything that happens.  They also allow a WiFi connection to an iPad, allowing clips to be viewed straight away to aid learning. No more trying to remember everything that’s happened.

The car comes with a high specification of optional extras including automatic headlights, automatic wipers, and Hill Start Assist.  Most of these are not switched on, so that all pupils do not become reliant on technology, and develop their own driving skills.
